I came across this video of Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellow, Kate Rosenbluth and her story of how she founded Cala Health.
I think the approach that she has taken to building her startup is probably the approach that I recommend in most cases. So, I wanted to share this video with all of you (my readers). If you are thinking of starting up or building a product from scratch, watch Kate talk about her experience and learn from the approach.
About Cala Health:
Just so that you know, her startup offers wearable neuromodulation therapies which merge neuroscience research with cutting-edge technology to deliver individualised peripheral nerve stimulation. In simple language, they offer a watch like device which people who have hand tremors (and cant undergo brain surgery) can wear and improve their tremor enough to write a letter or do simple tasks like spreading butter on a bread without anyone else’s help.
Here, she presents a framework for “needs-based innovation,” and explores how she emphasises the approach that her team took in building up Cala Health.
